You will learn techniques to unwind, relax and de-stress to repair your mind and body and take pressure of our bodily functions for a mini-time out.

Give yourself permission for a juicy dose of ‘me-time’ to re-establish the deep connection to your mind and body to access states of rest and relaxation for deep rest and renewal.

Communicate with your mind and your body to dial down the flight or fight mechanism and tell yourself there is no tension or danger – reducing the stress hormones and increasing the positive hormones we need to feel restore and renew.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

  • A seated, slow and passive practice to slowly drop into poses to find stillness in the body and mind. This is an opportunity to promote softness in your muscles while stimulating the connective tissues through resting into poses which are held for 3-5 minutes allowing gravity to do the work.
  • An integrated mind and body practice that encourages to listen to the deep intelligence in your body using breath to detect the appropriate depth and sensation that you can tolerate.
  • A chance to rest, deeply and allow the body to restore and renew.
  • You will feeling rested, restored, renewed and refreshed.
  • This is a beautiful, slow and very grounding guided practice, requiring very little effort, other than to listen and move...slowly.

YOUR FACILITATOR

Penny Ward is a people potential coach, and consultant. She works with all people to consciously and purposefully develop their self-awareness, self-efficacy, and self-courage as the foundation for building and maintaining their capacity to achieve direction, motivation and to positively influence their performance so they may thrive.

Her expertise lies in integrating principles of self-leadership with deep mind and body awareness and restorative practices to enable people to transform and realise their potential.

Penny has done the hard yards in the private and public sector. Her greatest learning stems from 12 years in the Australian Defence Force (Reserve and Full-time). She knows what it is like to be taken to the edge both physically and mentally. Penny worked hard for over a decade to keep her  body and mind at optimum levels to perform above and beyond demanding occupational and unit standards, however this was not achieved without periods of feeling exhausted and being very close to the edge of total burnout.

Over the years, Penny has worked to maintain a healthy level of fitness, a focus on total wellness and balance through the beautiful deep practice of restorative yoga. In recent years, she has integrated Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra - an intelligent and balanced approach to supporting and nurturing the body and mind for rest, restoration and renewal.

She now shares her secrets with you with her Deep Rest and Renew Timeouts and Deep Rest Work-IN the ultimate challenge for the toughest of warriors who work-out.
