Our busy minds are taking over and our lives are increasingly built on pressure, stress and strenuous effort. While we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest…deeply…unapologetically. We are not taking time to rest deeply and regain the connection with our ability to relax and restore the body so we can maintain and build a resilient body and mind.
We are driven by increasing pressures and demands personally and professionally. They impact physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
We are often caught up and lost in the busyness of life. The excitement of the new and its pressures, and we place less focus on slowing down, reflection, accessing states of calm, and nourishing our body and mind.
We become robotic, automatic, aimless and worse…we can become exhausted, burnt-out, fractured or broken – and restoring the body and mind to optimum states can be a long road.
We need to nourish the body and mind. We need deep rest. To unwind. To relax, restore and renew. Regularly. As a regular gift to ourselves, to allow the body and mind to repair on a deep physical and mental level.
